PART-TIME FITNESS INSTRUCTORS
We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated fitness instructors to join our Gym 208 team at Glenariffe Community and Recreation Centre. Your role is to help ensure the efficient and safe running of the gym and the delivery of a range of exercise classes, fitness training and health and wellbeing initiatives to meet the needs of our community.
As part of the team, you will conduct one-to-one inductions, deliver gym-based training and group fitness classes and help ensure the general cleanliness and upkeep of the gym equipment and our facilities.
Flexible hours: Includes evenings and weekends.
Requirements: Minimum level 2 fitness qualification, able to teach a range of exercise classes, basic IT skills and good communication and customer service skills.
Catriona Kerr
Catriona Kerr manages Gym 208 and our team of fitness instructors. She is a fully qualified Level 3 Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer and is also qualified in nutrition, exercise referral and training adolescents. She is a qualified Pilates, Spin and Body Pump trainer and also teaches Circuits, Kettlebells and Boxercise.
Ali McQuillan
Ali is a fully qualified Gym Instructor & Personal Trainer. He is a keen sportsman and golfer, a leading member of the local golf team and a qualified golf coach. At Gym 208, Ali specialises in Circuits and Strength & Conditioning and how to train to help you develop your overall fitness and performance.
Gemma McCrudden
Gemma is a Level 2 qualified Gym Instructor and teaches Kettlebells and Circuits. As a 2nd year physio student at Ulster University, she is usually with us at weekends and during her university holidays. She is passionate about Crossfit and is a keen player of Gaelic football.
James Brown
James is a keen triathlete and runner. He started out coaching with his running club before deciding to embark on a new career as a health and fitness professional. James is a fully qualified Gym Instructor and specialises in teaching Spin, HIIT and Circuits classes.
Mon & Tues: 6.00am – 9.00pm Weds: 7.00am – 9.00pm Thurs & Fri: 7.00am – 7.30pm Sat: 8.00am – 1.00pm Sun: 9.00am – 1.00pm
Minimum age for all gym users is 16
** Student membership is for student’s over 16 years of age and in full time education
