PROJECT CO-ORDINATORS – PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of the role is to work with the Project Manager and other project staff and volunteers to help facilitate the efficient, effective and professional delivery of our Glens Rural Health & Wealth Project which is funded through the National Lottery Community Fund. This is a ‘hands on’ role assisting with all aspects of the project delivery working from Glenariffe Community & Recreation Centre. The project’s outputs and outcomes are closely aligned with Glenariffe Community & Recreation Centre’s remit to help address the disadvantages of rural isolation, support community mental, physical and emotional wellbeing and encourage healthier lifestyles. The Centre operates as a social hub which aims to meet the needs of local residents and the wider Glens community, promotes social inclusion and brings people together of all ages, abilities, social and political backgrounds in a safe, universally inclusive environment.

Glenariffe Community & Recreation Centre is owned and managed by the Friends of Glenariffe, a registered charity and Equal Opportunities Employer.
